A collection made for my diploma work at Mod’Art Hungary in 2016. Later I decided to scale up the collection to be able to provide a more complete display with more garments and details. aN_oBjeCt_sELf_dEFiNeD is a concept constructed around the culture of obsessing about material goods and the idea that consumer society compels the individual to self-objectification in a desire (rather: a compulsion) to conform. In theory we criticise, in practice we comply. Citizens becoming consumers, converting to be goods themselves. Quantified personalities estimating their value on the job (and other) markets. Styles and techniques resembling ancient artworks and references made to mythological characters and symbols provide the material context. The garments were selected for various shootings and were presented at the graduation show at BMC and Varkert Bazar (Budapest).
